Advice on Fundraising

It is important for all members to try to support and publicise events.

If you want to organise an event please let Tony Heslop know so it can be added to this resource. There is a proforma you can use to make sure you have given all the details. Click here.

If you can give plenty of notice we will endeavour to get publicity for your event both through the 'Local Media' and also at other events being organised. To this end it would help if you could take flyers and posters for future events to be available at your fund raising event so if people have enjoyed it they may come to the future events being ogansed. If You Can Gift Aid It

Remember if you pay tax on your income and use Gift aid you will increase anything you give by 20% (so for every £4 given we receive and extra £1) If we received everything through gift aid £10,000 of the £50,000 would be given by the Tax-man.

So if you can gift aid it. If your not sure how to, speak to one of the stewards.
